Overview

BotSailor brings WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, and Website Chat into one service. Visual chatbot flows, broadcasts, follow-up sequences, lead capture, and social automation address recurring engagement work; a shared team inbox gives staff customer information, conversation history, labels, assignments, and notes when they take over.

Specialized AI agents can use business knowledge, gather information, route conversations, trigger automations, call APIs, and hand discussions to people. That combination suits teams balancing automated first responses with human support. Shopify, WooCommerce, and Salla connections extend the service into product discovery, cart recovery, order notifications, payment journeys, and post-purchase support.

Key features

Automation and AI

The visual flow builder, broadcasts, and follow-up sequences give teams tools for both responsive conversations and proactive outreach. AI agents can act on business knowledge and escalate to staff, rather than limiting the service to scripted replies. The Free plan’s 200K AI tokens per month can suit a small operation, while Premium’s 2M monthly tokens offers more room for agent use; subscriber limits remain a separate constraint.

Commerce and integrations

Connections to Shopify, WooCommerce, and Salla support commerce journeys from product discovery through post-purchase support. Other connection options include Google Sheets, webhooks, WPForms, Elementor, Google Forms, and HTTP API. The REST API covers messaging, subscriber management, chatbot flows, team and reseller accounts, catalogs, labels, sequences, and AI integration, with API-key authentication. This makes BotSailor more relevant to businesses connecting conversations to existing tools than to teams seeking only a basic inbox.

Team operations and agency use

The shared inbox supports human handoff with customer context and assignment tools. White-label and reseller solutions are also available for agencies, entrepreneurs, and SaaS businesses that want to offer the service under their own brand. A support desk and contact channel connect customers with technical experts.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free, billed Forever, and includes 200 subscribers, 200K AI tokens per month, an AI Agent, Message Credit, Visual Flow Builder, and Omni-channel Shared Inbox. It is a practical way to start, but the 200-subscriber cap makes it a poor fit once a contact base grows beyond a small audience.

Premium 500 (Pro) costs 10.99 USD per month, billed Monthly, and includes 500 subscribers, 2M AI tokens per month, Team Member, Shopify and WooCommerce, APIs and Webhooks, Visual Flow Builder, and Omni-channel Shared Inbox. Premium 1K (Pro) costs 14.99 USD per month, billed Monthly, for 1K subscribers and 2M AI tokens per month. The listed paid-from price is 14.99 /mo, although the Premium 500 tier is priced lower at 10.99 USD per month.

Higher tiers keep the 2M monthly AI-token allowance while raising subscriber capacity: Premium 2K (Pro) is 20.99 USD per month; Premium 3K (Pro) is 25.99 USD per month; Premium 5K (Pro) is 40.99 USD per month; Premium 10K (Pro) is 74.99 USD per month; Premium 20K (Pro) is 96.99 USD per month; Premium 30K (Pro) is 106.99 USD per month; and Premium 50K (Pro) is 128.99 USD per month. Each is billed Monthly. Premium’s stated subscriber tiers run from 500 to 100K, though prices are given here only for the tiers above. Third-party messaging providers such as WhatsApp may charge separately depending on usage and selected package, so BotSailor’s plan price may not represent the full messaging cost.

Platforms

BotSailor is available via web and API. Its conversational channels include WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, and Website Chat. The API and channel coverage make it relevant to teams connecting messaging workflows with other systems, while the listed device platforms are limited to web and API.

Who it's for

BotSailor is a strong fit for businesses that need multiple messaging channels, automated engagement, human handoff, and connected commerce in one workflow. It also suits agencies and SaaS businesses interested in white-label or reseller offerings. It is less compelling for a business with a growing subscriber base that needs predictable total messaging costs, since the Free cap is low and providers may bill separately.

Pros and cons

Pros: A shared inbox spans five conversational channels and gives staff useful customer context during handoff.
Pros: AI agents, visual flows, broadcasts, and follow-ups combine automation with human escalation.
Pros: Commerce connections and a broad REST API can tie conversations to store journeys and other tools.
Cons: The Free plan stops at 200 subscribers, limiting its usefulness for a business with a larger audience.
Cons: Third-party messaging charges may be additional, complicating cost planning as usage changes.
Cons: The monthly AI-token allowance remains 2M across the listed Premium tiers, even as subscriber capacity increases.

Alternatives

WhatsApp Business API Providers is a broader directory for comparing providers in that category.

Choose AiSensy if its Android and iOS availability or Free Forever plan, with up to 200 agents and 500 tags, better matches your needs. Chatwoot is worth considering when open-source software or self-hosting matters; its Hacker plan includes up to two agents and 500 conversations per month.

360dialog may suit teams seeking a paid WhatsApp API provider with 24/7 human support and a direct Meta escalation path in its Regular plan. Choose Interakt if a paid, Instagram-only Starter plan with unlimited Instagram DMs and comments better suits the job.

WATI is another paid option, with a Pay as you go plan that includes 500 messages and three months of account validity. Respond.io may fit teams willing to pay for its Starter plan, which includes five users, unlimited monthly active contacts, and 5,000 AI credits. Rasayel is a paid alternative whose Start plan requires a minimum of five team members and includes three WhatsApp numbers and 10K messages per month. QuickReply.ai is another option for businesses comparing popup-led opt-ins and AI-agent services.

Verdict

Choose BotSailor if your business needs to bring multi-channel conversations, AI-led automation, human support, and commerce workflows together, particularly across connected stores. The Free plan offers a useful entry point, but its 200-subscriber cap and possible provider charges make cost and scale the main reasons to look elsewhere.
