Overview

Interaction Insights can record voice, video, screen sharing and instant messages, with the available capture options varying by communications environment and configuration. Its AI analytics can transcribe recordings and surface potential compliance risks, sentiment, service-quality trends and key moments in conversations. That combination can help compliance and quality teams review interactions more systematically, but it is not a guarantee of compliance: organizations still need to determine whether their configured capture and retention meet their obligations.

Recordings can be managed in a web portal or an embedded Teams app. The maker says specialized training is not required, which should make it easier to fit recording review into existing work, though the available controls still depend on the deployment.

Key features

Recording and archive: Voice recording is offered in both plans, and the product supports searchable archives, consent controls and configurable retention. Video, screen-sharing and messaging capture depend on the communications environment and configured capabilities.
AI analysis: Transcription, summaries and indicators for risk, sentiment, service quality and conversation moments can help teams prioritize review rather than listen to every recording in full.
Teams and UC integrations: The product is Microsoft Teams certified and supports SIPREC recording for Zoom and other on-premises or cloud UC environments. Cisco Webex certification is marked as coming soon, so organizations relying on Webex should not treat that certification as current.
Security and governance: Listed controls include Microsoft Azure SSO, role-based access, activity logs and 256-bit AES encryption at rest and SSL/TLS encryption in transit. The service states certifications to ISO 27001, ISO 27032 and SOC 2 Type II, and lists GDPR, CPRA and CCPA standards.
Storage and compliance support: Customers can set retention policies and use Bring Your Own Storage. The maker says recording features help address MiFID II, GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA and E-Discovery requirements; that support does not by itself establish that a particular deployment satisfies them.

Pricing

AudioCodes offers custom pricing through flexible licensing packages and directs buyers to contact the company about their requirements. There is no free plan, but organizations can request a free 30-day proof-of-concept trial to assess fit before committing.

Essential Recording: Custom pricing for voice recording hosted in AudioCodes’ secure cloud, with retention up to 24 months. Additional recording add-ons cost extra. This is the more limited fit for organizations that can work within a defined retention period and do not need the higher-availability and disaster-recovery provisions in the other plan.
Compliance Recording: Custom pricing for hosted voice recording with unlimited retention, double recording for high availability, geo-redundancy and disaster recovery. Additional recording add-ons cost extra. It is the stronger fit where long-term retention and resilience matter, but buyers should account for the separate cost of add-ons.

Unlimited retention is an additional-cost option, not a standard promise of the Essential plan. Buyers should confirm how their required capture modes, storage arrangements and licensing affect the final package.

Platforms

Interaction Insights is listed for Android, iOS, web and API. It also offers recording management through an embedded Teams app or web portal. The listed mobile platforms may suit teams that need mobile access, while capture support remains tied to the communications environment.

Who it's for

Interaction Insights is best suited to organizations using Teams or supported unified communications systems that need compliance recording alongside quality assurance, fraud prevention, training, dispute resolution or documentation workflows. Configurable retention and Bring Your Own Storage will appeal to organizations with defined governance needs. It is a less straightforward choice for buyers who need a published price, a free tier, or a recording capability that has not been confirmed for their particular environment.

Pros and cons

Pro: Recording, transcription and AI analysis are combined, giving compliance and quality teams ways to find risks and useful moments without relying only on manual listening.
Pro: Retention policies, Bring Your Own Storage and a Compliance Recording plan with redundancy and disaster recovery offer meaningful choices for organizations with stricter storage or availability needs.
Pro: Teams certification and SIPREC support make it relevant across Teams and other UC environments, rather than only one calling platform.
Con: Pricing is custom and there is no free plan, so budget comparison requires a sales conversation.
Con: Essential Recording caps retention at 24 months, while unlimited retention costs extra; add-on recording capabilities also cost extra on both plans.
Con: Capture options depend on environment and configuration, and Webex certification is still marked as coming soon.

Alternatives

For a broader shortlist, see Call Recording Software. Consider Numonix IXCloud if a free plan is important; it also offers a free trial and API and web platforms, with paid plans priced on request. Smarsh Call Recording and Analytics is another paid option with Android and iOS platforms and quote-based pricing.

Eleveo Call Recording may suit contact centers looking for pricing tailored to their needs, including on-premises, hybrid or SaaS subscriptions with support and professional services included. Verint Interaction Recording is another paid alternative. CallCabinet is a paid option with a web platform.

Dubber is worth comparing for Microsoft Teams recording with voice, video and chat capture and scalable secure storage; trial plans are available on request. Imagicle Call Recording offers a free trial and a cloud plan with an annual fee, no hardware requirement, automatic updates and elastic storage. MiaRec may suit buyers who want published per-user plan pricing: Essentials is 25.00 USD per month on an annual contract, with a 25-user minimum, three months of storage, 1,500 minutes per user per month and standard support.

Verdict

Choose AudioCodes Interaction Insights if your organization needs configurable compliance recording across Teams or supported UC systems and values AI-assisted review, retention controls and a higher-resilience plan. Its broad recording and analysis scope is the main reason to shortlist it. Look elsewhere if you need transparent pricing or a free tier, or if your required capture mode and environment have not been confirmed before purchase.
