Overview

AssemblyFlow brings the service order, projected content, and stage display into one workflow. Its a cappella focus shows in the included shape-note hymns, while song imports and custom lyrics let congregations add their own material. The church-computer storage model is a meaningful distinction for organizations that prefer service data to stay local, but it also means this is not a cloud-sync-first planning tool.

Key features

Planning and music

Drag-and-drop service orders, templates, autosaving, and undo support the practical work of assembling a service. Seven service item types give planners structure without requiring every congregation to use the same order. The 85 included shape-note hymns are a useful starting library for the app’s intended audience; custom lyrics and bulk imports of ChordPro, OnSong, and plain text files broaden its usefulness beyond that collection.

Projection and stage display

Multiple-monitor projection, themed backgrounds, and standby, blackout, and logo screens cover common presentation needs. Stage display adds current and upcoming slides, timers, and private notes, which helps keep stage-facing information separate from what the congregation sees. These features make AssemblyFlow more than a service-order planner, especially for churches running projection and livestream from the same setup.

Scripture, livestream, and remote control

BSV, KJV, and ASV translations are bundled for offline use. ESV and api.bible translations require external API keys, though they can be cached locally. OBS Browser Source, OBS WebSocket controls, NDI output, and a virtual webcam for apps such as Zoom and Teams give production teams several ways to connect the presentation to a stream. A web remote works on church Wi-Fi and can be installed as a PWA on iOS and Android, a practical option for controlling a service without standing at the main computer.

Local operation and reporting

AssemblyFlow stores service data on the church computer and works offline after activation, with no cloud sync or telemetry. It also logs projected songs and exports date-range CSV reports for CCLI, keeping the usage data local. The maker says licensing is validated offline and projection will not stop mid-service if billing fails or a subscription lapses. That approach suits churches prioritizing local control, though it is less suited to teams that need shared cloud data across devices.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes the full app for the main worship assembly with one operator, for congregations of 50 or fewer members. It is a credible way for a small congregation to use the core workflow, but the member cap and single-operator limit rule it out for larger churches or concurrent teams.

Standard costs 20.00 USD per month or 200.00 USD per year. It covers the main worship assembly, sanctuary and livestream, OBS/YouTube/Zoom integration, unlimited songs and services, and one operator at a time. The annual option saves $40 against monthly billing. This is the most direct upgrade for a congregation that needs livestream and unlimited content but can keep operation to one person at a time.

Church costs 40.00 USD per month or 400.00 USD per year, with an annual saving of $80. It adds use in any room, class, or activity, multiple simultaneous operators, and web-remote role permissions to Standard. Those additions matter for teams coordinating more than the main assembly; smaller churches that operate from one station may not need the higher tier.

Multi-campus costs 80.00 USD per month or 800.00 USD per year, saving $160 annually versus monthly billing. It adds unlimited physical campuses, NDI broadcast across LAN, hardware switcher integration, and priority email support to Church. This tier is aimed at organizations with multiple sites or more involved production setups, rather than a single-room congregation.

Paid-plan email support is within 24 hours. AssemblyFlow is maintained by Straight Truth Press, which describes itself as a one-person ministry; support is by email at support@assemblyflow.net.

Platforms

AssemblyFlow supports Android, iOS, web, and Windows. The Windows app is central to its stated use for running stage display, while the web remote and mobile PWA provide control access on church Wi-Fi. Linux and macOS are not among its supported platforms.

Who it's for

AssemblyFlow is best suited to local congregations, particularly those with a cappella or shape-note singing, that want service planning tied directly to projection and livestream production. Small congregations can start on the free plan; churches needing multiple operators, activity rooms, campus coordination, or production integrations have a clear paid path. It is a weaker fit for teams that depend on cloud synchronization or need Linux or macOS support.

Pros and cons

Pros: Planning, projection, stage display, and livestream connections are combined, reducing the need to split those tasks across separate workflows.
Pros: Offline operation after activation and local data storage suit churches that want service and song-usage data kept on their own computer.
Pros: Unlimited songs and services on Standard avoid content quotas for churches that only need one operator.
Cons: The free plan is limited to congregations of 50 or fewer and one operator, so even modest growth or team sharing requires a paid plan.
Cons: Standard still allows only one operator at a time; simultaneous operators and other rooms require the $40.00 USD per month Church plan.
Cons: ESV and api.bible scripture access depends on external API keys, unlike the three translations bundled for offline use.

Verdict

Choose AssemblyFlow if your congregation wants service planning, projection, stage display, and livestream connections centered on a Windows system, with local storage and offline operation after activation. Its integrated production tools and a clear upgrade path make it a strong match for churches that value local control. Look elsewhere if cloud synchronization, Linux or macOS support, or more than one operator on a lower-cost plan is essential.
