Overview

Agantty is a web-based project management tool built around Gantt-chart planning. It gives teams a way to arrange projects and tasks on a timeline, with a dashboard for checking to-dos and filtering them by project, user or timeframe. The maker, Agantty, was founded in 2015 and is based in Zeven, Germany.

The product combines timeline planning with task overviews, team coordination, drag-and-drop organization, rights management, email reminders and PDF exports. Calendar exports can keep projects in sync with Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Outlook and other calendars through export links or ICS files. Agantty is available in English, German and Low German.

Key features

Gantt charts are the main planning view: users can organize projects, tasks and teams against a project timeline. Agantty also supports task dependencies and milestones, which help represent the order and key points of work. Resource management and a workload view add ways to consider who or what is assigned and how work is distributed.

The dashboard collects to-dos and provides filters for narrowing them by project, user or timeframe. Teamwork features include rights management, while email reminders and PDF exports support follow-up and sharing. Anyone joining a team to share projects must have an Agantty registration.

Premium customers can import project data by CSV and use project templates, either from their own collection or the Community. Calendar synchronization is handled by export links or ICS files. The FAQ says Agantty cannot currently process external data through an API, and that users cannot yet host an instance on their own server.

Agantty says its servers are in Germany and that it follows German BDSG data-protection regulations. It describes encrypted communication using 256-bit SSL, encrypted passwords, backups and database copies, and reports ISO 27001 certification.

Pricing

Agantty uses a freemium model, with a free plan and a 14-day trial. The listed Free plan is 0.00 USD per free and includes a 14-day trial with all features, up to one project, no teams and no support.

The listed Premium plan is 490.00 EUR per month, billed per person. It includes unlimited tasks, projects and teams, CSV import, project templates, task lists via email and ticket support. The pricing note also describes paid access as starting from €4.90/user/mo; the supplied plan details separately list Premium at 490.00 EUR per month, so check the current offer for the applicable rate.

Platforms

Agantty is listed for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web and Windows. Its mobile app is available through the iOS App Store and Google Play Store and supports viewing and adding tasks, as well as saving filter shortlists.

Who it's for

Agantty’s maker describes it as developed for small and medium-sized teams and says its own web agency uses it to organize agency projects. Teams that need Gantt-based project organization, task filtering, dependencies, milestones or workload visibility may find those capabilities relevant. The need for every team member to register is worth factoring into adoption, as are the stated limits around API data processing and self-hosting.

Pros and cons

Pros: Gantt planning is complemented by dependencies, milestones, resource management and a workload view.
Pros: The dashboard filters to-dos by project, user and timeframe; calendar exports and PDF exports provide additional ways to keep information accessible and share it.
Pros: The free plan and 14-day all-features trial offer a way to assess the product before choosing a paid plan.
Cons: The Free plan is limited to one project, excludes teams and has no support.
Cons: Team members must register, external data cannot currently be processed through an API, and self-hosting is not yet possible.

Alternatives

Other options to consider include Rillsoft Project, Open Planner Studio, ProjectLibre, TeamGantt, Instagantt, Ganttic, GanttProject and Ganty.

Verdict

Agantty centers project work on Gantt charts while adding task filtering, team permissions, calendar exports and workload-related planning tools. Its listed mobile apps support core task viewing and entry, while premium adds CSV imports, templates and expanded project and team capacity. The main fit questions are practical: the free plan's one-project limit, registration requirement for collaborators, and the current absence of API data processing and self-hosting. For small and medium-sized teams seeking timeline-led project organization, those details help clarify whether Agantty's feature set and access model match their workflow.
