What WinToUSB is

WinToUSB creates portable Windows installations on external hard drives, USB flash drives, or Thunderbolt drives. It can build a Windows To Go workspace from ISO, WIM, ESD, SWM, VHD, VHDX, or DBI files, or from CD/DVD media, and can clone a running Windows installation to a USB or Thunderbolt drive. It also creates Windows installation USB drives, can download official Windows ISO files from Microsoft, and makes bootable WinPE drives for recovery, backup, and troubleshooting. Delta Clone technology updates an existing Windows To Go workspace, and the program can use system backup images generated by Hasleo Backup Suite. Professional and Enterprise editions add BitLocker encryption for Windows To Go. The free edition is for home use and excludes cloning, BitLocker encryption, and partition resizing or moving. WinToUSB supports Windows 7 or later, including x64, x86, and ARM64, as well as Windows Server 2008 or later. Hasleo says it is compatible with GPT/UEFI and Windows UEFI CA 2023, but cautions that Windows 7 is not fully portable and lacks native USB 3.0 support. The Free plan is free; Professional is $44.95, paid once and Enterprise is $299.95, paid once, with prices excluding VAT and lifetime upgrades listed for both paid editions.
