What Vihko is
Vihko describes itself as an AI-powered second brain for capturing ideas, connecting thoughts, and organizing information. It provides Markdown note-taking, including through agentic chat. AI can suggest tags from note content, while semantic search finds notes by meaning and context instead of keywords alone. Its assistant can locate and discuss subjects in a personal knowledge base. Vihko runs on Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows. The free plan includes limited note storage and AI features, plus advanced search, organization, and cross-device use. The Basic plan costs $7/mo and adds unlimited storage, AI chat with notes, full tagging and suggestions, MCP integration, and priority support. MCP connects notes with ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor; creating, reading, and searching notes through MCP requires Basic. Vihko says it does not sell personal data and stores content only as needed to provide the service. Users must be at least 16.
