Trellis
Trellis is browser-based software that turns K–12 classroom walkthrough notes into teacher feedback and coaching conversations.
What Trellis is
Trellis is browser-based software that turns K–12 classroom walkthrough notes into teacher feedback and coaching conversations. Observers can type or dictate notes, attach evidence, create framework-aligned drafts, edit them, and deliver feedback through teacher portals. Supported frameworks include Danielson, Marzano, CSTPs, UDL, state rubrics, and local forms. Administrators review each AI draft and decide what to send; Trellis says it does not automatically rate teachers or send data to HR systems. Elli answers questions from a school’s observations and feedback, with district-wide queries for District plan leaders. The Site plan costs $249 a year and includes unlimited teachers, observations, feedback, and Elli; a 14-day trial is available, but there is no free plan. Trellis has no live SIS or LMS synchronization, though staff can be invited by email and data exported or imported as CSV. Workspace exports also support JSON. It has no mobile app or on-premise installation.
