What TouchBistro is

TouchBistro is a cloud-based point-of-sale and restaurant management system built exclusively for foodservice businesses. Its POS combines menu management, reporting and analytics, floor-plan and table management, staff management and tableside ordering. If internet access is lost, the system can continue taking and closing orders, send orders to a kitchen display system and accept offline payments. TouchBistro says its POS provides more than 50 reports covering sales trends, staff performance and other restaurant information. Apple iPads are the core hardware and can work as handheld terminals or countertop stations. Integrations cover accounting, analytics, inventory, online ordering, payment processing, staff scheduling and payroll; listed payment partners include Worldpay, Chase Payment Solutions and Moneris. Add-ons include inventory, labor management, kitchen display, online ordering, reservations, loyalty, marketing and gift cards. The service supports full- and quick-service restaurants, cafes, bars, breweries and wineries, but says it is not a good fit for independent food trucks, catering companies or retail businesses.
