What tinythoughts is

tinythoughts is a sentence-a-day journal for recording short entries and responding to a different writing prompt each day of the year. Users can choose a notification time, tag thoughts, and filter entries by category. The service can infer mood from entry text, let users filter positive and negative entries, and show mood trends over time. Users can attach a photo or GIF; the free plan allows five image uploads a month, while premium includes daily image uploads and an image gallery. tinythoughts says entries are end-to-end encrypted so only the account holder can read them, and journal data can be downloaded as CSV. The free plan includes daily text entries and daily push notifications. Premium costs $3 a month after a 14-day free period, with cancellation available at any time. The service is listed for web, Android and iOS, though push notifications are available in Chrome and Firefox only. An archived App Store listing describes an app for iPhone, iPad and iPod, last seen on September 19, 2025. Its privacy policy says the service may collect personal and non-personal information, uses cookies and is hosted by Firebase.
