What Studyline is
Studyline is web-based project and portfolio management software for organisations handling clinical research. It supports governance work such as sponsorship reviews, funding approvals, ethical opinion, site feasibility, capacity and capability, participant recruitment, and monitoring. Configurable activity workflows assign approval tasks as projects progress. Portfolio views provide dashboards, Red Amber Green alerts, filters, and user-assigned activities. Users can build reports from database fields, share them with users or groups, and generate sponsor approval or NHS Trust site confirmation reports as PDFs. Studyline can interface with Oracle Financial reports to show study payments received alongside patient recruitment. Projects, organisations, and departments can hold documents with folder permissions and electronic signatures. Email templates, stored correspondence, and MS Word templates support routine communication and reporting. The Siteline web application adds participant recruitment, visit scheduling, study management, and calendar synchronisation with applications such as Microsoft Outlook. Clinical research networks can manage work across organisations and specialties, report partner trust activity, and interface with NIHR CPMS. Plans cost 2.00, 7.00, or £15 a year, excluding VAT, by project volume.
