Stickies is a free Windows utility for keeping text or image notes on screen. Notes stay where you place them until closed, including after a reboot. You can add alarms, hide a note until a chosen date and time, or set it to wake daily, weekly, or monthly. Fonts, colours, buttons, styles, and note sizes are adjustable. A note can also be attached to an application, website, document, or folder, so it appears only while that item is on screen. Notes can be transferred between machines over TCP/IP, an SMTP mail server, or a MAPI client. Stickies includes an API for integration with other applications through Windows messages. It stores information in a single SQLite database file and does not write to the registry. The utility supports Unicode and right-to-left text, and administrators can control settings through Group Policy. Its freeware license allows use on any number of computers for home or office, with no time limit or feature restrictions. The current download page lists Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11; earlier Windows versions are no longer supported.
