Cloud-hosted Network Detection and Response uses AI to identify suspicious URLs and encrypted payloads, while Active Threat Response can use Sophos, Sophos MDR, and third-party threat feeds to block threats without firewall rules. Security features include TLS 1.3 inspection, intrusion prevention, zero-day protection, dual antivirus scanning, and cloud sandboxing. Sophos also lists firewall health checks, automated hotfix capability, a hardened kernel and architecture, remote integrity monitoring, and multi-factor authentication. Sophos Fusion extends management to switches, wireless, email, endpoints, and workspace protection. Deployment options include XGS appliances, cloud PAYG or BYOL, VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, KVM, and Intel software images. Every firewall requires a Base License; pricing is available by quote through resellers and Managed Service Providers.
