Ramble
Ramble is a web-based collaborative Markdown editor for drafting and sharing work with a team.
What Ramble is
Ramble is a web-based collaborative Markdown editor for drafting and sharing work with a team. The editor shows Markdown source beside a rendered preview and supports formatting shortcuts, paste-to-Markdown conversion, find and replace, and export as a Markdown file. Multiple people can edit the same draft at once, with live cursors, automatic saving, and changes merged after editors reconnect. Drafts already open in the browser can be edited offline with local recovery, but loading Ramble or opening new pages needs a network connection. An optional AI assistant can answer questions about a draft, suggest edits for review, or create drafts through conversation. Workspaces provide owner, editor, and viewer roles, with read-only published links and time-limited, revocable agent links. Existing users can still access, edit, collaborate on, and download their work. However, Ramble has closed new accounts, invitations, subscriptions, and AI credit purchases. Its free Open plan is listed as free, but is not currently available to new users.

- Open plan is unavailable to new users
Who it suits
Ramble suits existing users who want browser-based Markdown drafting with real-time collaboration, export, and optional AI assistance. Its current access limits make it unsuitable for people trying to open a new account.
Verdict
Ramble offers a focused Markdown workspace with live editing and draft-level AI assistance. Its current closure to new accounts and invitations is a key limitation for prospective users.
