Photok
Photok is an Android vault for hiding private photos and videos.
What Photok is
Photok is an Android vault for hiding private photos and videos. You can import media, organize it into albums, export files, and create or restore encrypted backups. The maker says files are encrypted locally with AES-256 and decrypted only in memory while the app is in use, with no cloud upload required. Fingerprint unlock, direct sharing into the vault, app-icon hiding and deletion of originals after import add privacy controls. Photok is open source under the Apache 2.0 License and is developed by Leon Latsch with public volunteers. Downloads are listed through Google Play, F-Droid and other alternatives. The core app is described as identical across Google Play and FOSS variants, but telemetry defaults and Pro availability differ. Google Play telemetry starts enabled and can be disabled; FOSS starts disabled and can be enabled in settings. Analytics are for stability and user experience, not advertising or cross-app tracking. Photok FOSS is free, with no ads or payments; Photok Pro is an optional, unpriced Google Play add-on.
