What Persalto is

Persalto is a self-hosted search platform for video, audio, images, and documents kept on infrastructure a customer controls. Natural-language queries can span mixed archives and return synthesized answers linked to source frames or document paragraphs. Video processing provides scene breakdowns, keyframes, summaries, detected entities, and speaker-attributed transcripts with word timestamps. Users can search transcript text and visual detections together, with results tied to seekable timestamps. Persalto reads content in place from SMB, NFS, S3, and Isilon. Watched folders ingest new media, while content hashes deduplicate assets. An activity console tracks ingest, transcription, scene detection, vision, and document parsing, including retries and dead-letter queues, and exposes JSON logs, Prometheus metrics, and correlation IDs. Containerized deployment runs on NVIDIA GPU servers, including air-gapped environments. Annual renewal includes updates and support; each license increment covers two GPUs, without metering assets, queries, or reprocessing.
