Parchment
Parchment provides community-created parameter names and Javadocs for Minecraft mod development.
What Parchment is
Parchment provides community-created parameter names and Javadocs for Minecraft mod development. Its mappings supplement Mojang’s official names and are intended to work across mod loaders; they are compatible with Mojmap and can be used with Forge, Fabric, Quilt, and other modding platforms. The mapping set draws on Mojang’s published obfuscation maps for versions since 1.14, and a version needs published obfuscation logs to be supported. Parchment supports the latest minor version of each maintained major release; listed versions range from 1.16.5 through 1.21.11. Snapshot versions are currently excluded because later snapshots can invalidate earlier mapping work. The project is open source, with mappings hosted publicly on GitHub. Forge developers can use the Librarian Gradle plugin, which requires ForgeGradle 5.1.20 or later and Gradle 7.1.1 or higher. Fabric Loom supports Parchment mappings natively as of version 0.9. Setup instructions use the Parchment Maven repository. The listed mapping plan costs nothing.
