Nuance
Nuance is a creative sampler for building instruments and drum kits.
What Nuance is
Nuance is a creative sampler for building instruments and drum kits. Users can create drum kits by dragging samples onto layered pads and edit multi-sampled instruments in Mapping View. Its playback engine supports 128 voices, true stereo, unlimited groups and zones, and eight stereo outputs. The Modulation Matrix offers unlimited assignments across 25 targets, with envelopes, LFOs, step sequencers, and polyphonic randomisers. Each group has four polyphonic effects slots, with 13 algorithms. Supported formats include NU, WAV, AIFF, Vice VI, Logic EXS24, and SFZ. The Cloud Browser lets users browse and audition factory and expansion SoundPacks, and try expansions in a DAW project. Nuance supports host automation, MIDI controller assignment, and saved control-surface templates. It runs as a standalone app and plugin on macOS and Windows. The Nuance plan costs £89, paid once. A free download offers 60-minute Quick Demo sessions or a full-functional 30-Day Trial licence; full software versions must be activated.
