LockChat is a federated instant messaging platform for businesses, combining end-to-end encrypted messaging with recording and audit capabilities. Its mobile apps support group chat, forwarding, deletion, blocking, revocation, audio messages, images, documents, timed expiration, and purging. The site says messages are stored securely on mobile devices rather than servers. Users can protect messages with biometric access, and Yoti can digitally verify a recipient’s identity. LockChat Enterprise lets administrators manage users, group membership, access, and communication policies. It supports chat recording and audits for governance and compliance, with administrators choosing how long chat logs are retained. Non-Enterprise users are directed to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
