KnightCite is a web citation generator that turns source details into bibliographies in MLA, APA, and Chicago styles.
What KnightCite is
KnightCite is a web citation generator that turns source details into bibliographies in MLA, APA, and Chicago styles. It accepts print and electronic materials such as books, anthologies, periodicals, and websites, while MLA also supports multimedia and communication resources. Anyone can create citations without registering, and registration is free. Registered users can save citations, arrange them into multiple papers, edit or alphabetize them, and export citations or a paper to Word or RTF. The service is available inside and outside the Calvin community, with features focused on undergraduate college students. A citation can link to its full-text article when an institution supports that option. KnightCite does not produce footnotes or in-text citations. APA title capitalization remains as entered because the program cannot consistently identify proper nouns. The service is supported by online advertisements, launched in August 2004, and has been maintained by Hekman Library since 2008.
