What Intuitive Takeoff is
Intuitive Takeoff is a Windows application for measuring lengths, areas and counts from construction plans, then pricing work with saved rates. Its 2D workspace can group and align sheets, assemble pages by match line and compare revisions with overlays. Users can add 19 types of markup, including dimensions, clouds, callouts, stamps and signatures. Exports include annotated PDF, Excel and CSV, and the software can also produce branded quotes and invoices. The Utilities & Civil module models connected pipe networks and calculates elevations, depth, slope and trench quantities. Smart Plan Detection names sheets, classifies pages, parses sheet indexes and detects schedule tables locally on the user's machine. The Advanced plan adds a Claude connector that can build takeoff items and reference schedule data, but it cannot draw pipe runs, edit placed-run hydraulics or set trench profiles. The connector is read-only by default, with writes blocked until the user grants permission and reviews changes. The maker says plans open and render locally without uploads. Standard costs $25 a month and Advanced costs $50 a month. A 30-day trial unlocks Advanced; a subscription begins automatically afterward if checkout included a payment method.
