IDERA SQL Diagnostic Manager monitors SQL Server performance across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. It helps teams investigate waits, blocking chains, deadlocks, TempDB pressure, I/O latency, and fragmentation. More than 100 predefined alert settings can flag conditions, with responses that send notifications or email, or run SQL and PowerShell scripts. It supports Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Amazon RDS for SQL Server, and GCP environments. Monitored-instance status, health, and events can be passed to Microsoft System Center Operations Manager. The product can be deployed for browser access, and users can view current and historical performance and diagnose issues from smartphones or tablets. Permissions can restrict users to selected monitored instances; connections from the collection service can use SSL encryption, with an option to trust the server certificate. Supported SQL Server versions include 2016, 2017 CU4+, 2019, 2022, and 2025. SQL Workload Analysis adds wait-state analysis, while SQL Query Tuner is offered for query optimization.
