What Honggfuzz is

Honggfuzz is free, open-source software for generating inputs that exercise programs and reveal failures. It uses mutation, changing existing inputs into new test cases. Targets can include files, standard input, APIs, binaries, and network servers, so developers can direct fuzzing at different interfaces. Coverage guidance helps steer execution, while crash triage supports handling failures discovered during runs. Execution is local rather than hosted. Honggfuzz supports C, C++, Rust, and other LLVM-compatible languages, and is available on Android, Linux, macOS, and Windows. The project was founded in 2010 and is distributed through its GitHub website.
