What FreePresenter is
FreePresenter is free presentation software for churches on Windows and macOS. It displays lyrics, Bible passages, programs, calendars, and announcement slides. Users can obtain Bibles and songs from FreePresenter servers, then build church presentations and announcements. Live search finds songs or Bible verses and displays them immediately. Output options include Window, NDI, and DeckLink, with multiple outputs allowed and different layouts for each. Listed capabilities include lyrics display, scripture display, stage display, multi-screen output, and media playback. Elgato StreamDeck is described as deeply integrated and customizable, while StreamDeck Companion support is planned for Winter 2026. Blackmagic Design UltraStudio and DeckLink outputs support Windows and Mac, and video playback on SDI outputs was added in version 1.4.2. Full cloud support remains under development as an opt-in subscription feature. The maker says the app stays free to use, although some cloud features may have monthly fees, and resale is prohibited.
