Summary
Flash-Read is a web-based speed-reading app that displays words one at a time using RSVP technology. Readers can paste text or upload .txt and .epub files, or choose from a library of 500+ original stories across 20 genres; guests have three free stories. Speed ramping starts at 200 WPM and can rise to 2,000 WPM. The reader marks the Optimal Recognition Point in each word, adjusting its position to fit word length. Progress tools include session statistics and performance charts, while game features include XP, achievements, and streaks. All plans include the RSVP reader, speed ramping, ORP highlighting, keyboard shortcuts, and dark mode. Flash-Read says imported content is processed locally in the browser and uploaded files are not stored, read, or shared. It runs on devices with a web browser, with no app download required. A free plan is available, and paid plans start at 4.49 USD per month; listed tiers also include 6.99 USD per month and 9.99 USD per month. The pricing section says users can cancel anytime.
