Etyde

What Etyde is

Etyde is a web-based music practice platform for teachers, students, and people practicing independently. Teachers can record lessons with goals, reflections, and attached scores, while students can search their lesson history. Users can create practice plans or follow teacher-assigned plans specifying pieces, tempos, and focus areas. A metronome, tuner, sheet music viewer, and session logging support practice. Heatmaps, session logs, and repertoire timelines help users follow activity and see how pieces develop over time, and teachers and students can message within the platform. Etyde is intended to help teachers document lessons, assign practice, and review student progress between lessons. It is not a scheduling tool, payment processor, or video lesson platform. The Early Access plan is free at no cost and includes everything during early access; paid plans may come later. Etyde says data is stored on self-hosted infrastructure and connections use TLS encryption. Account deletion permanently removes profile and associated practice and communication data.
