D2L ePortfolio
D2L ePortfolio, also known as Brightspace ePortfolio, gives learners a place to collect and share evidence of their learning.
What D2L ePortfolio is
D2L ePortfolio, also known as Brightspace ePortfolio, gives learners a place to collect and share evidence of their learning. It supports documents, graphics, audio, video, presentations, and coursework. Users choose which items to share and how to arrange them, then set permissions for others to view, edit, comment on, or assess them. Presentations turn selected ePortfolio materials into multipage web projects. Comments and rubric assessments can be enabled for artifacts, collections, reflections, presentations, and learning objectives, subject to permissions.
Items may be submitted to Brightspace assignments for assessment, but the assignment receives a separate copy: later changes to the ePortfolio item do not alter it. A Google Drive file selector is available when an administrator enables the integration and the institution has a Google Workspace license. The mobile app works with institutional or myDesire2Learn services and requires authentication and a wireless connection. Brightspace pricing is customized; request a quote from D2L. D2L says Brightspace Portfolio is intended to replace legacy ePortfolio and advises against using both in the same course concurrently.
