Castory is a web service that turns manuscripts into chapter-based audiobooks for authors and publishers. It supports fiction, nonfiction, and serialized works, with multiple narration roles for giving dialogue and characters distinct voices. Castory says its voice library has more than 50 voices for multilingual creation, and its AI analyzes a manuscript’s genre and emotional tone to suggest narrators for chapters and characters. Users can upload PDFs and more than 10 other document formats; the homepage says one workflow can process novels up to 100,000 characters. Users can preview and adjust narration settings before generating audio, then export files for distribution. Its EPUB workflow supports online listening and downloading chapter audio as MP3 files. The Free plan is listed as free, with the page displaying 0 / 5,000. Users retain ownership of uploaded content, and Castory says it does not claim ownership of generated audio. It says uploaded content will not be used to train or improve general-purpose AI models without explicit consent. Uploaded files and generated results are kept only as long as necessary and can be deleted through the product interface.
