Canvas Intelligent Insights is a web analytics product for institutions seeking to monitor student progress and assess courses and educational technology. Its self-service analytics are intended to support course effectiveness, student retention, and graduation rates. Account administrators can ask questions in natural language with Ask Your Data, an AI-powered query tool. Course Readiness lets administrators set criteria for evaluating readiness and effectiveness. Students in Need of Attention monitors institution-defined indicators to flag students who may need support. Users can visualize data, customize dashboards, share selected insights, and return SQL queries. Listed capabilities also include Accessibility Insights, Accessibility Analytics, predictive analytics, and learner risk scoring. The product integrates with Canvas and is accessed through the Canvas Analytics Hub. Instructure describes Intelligent Insights as a legacy add-on: advanced analytics are now available in Canvas Plus and Canvas Next, while AI-powered Insights are available in Canvas Next.
