What Budgero is
Budgero is a budgeting app for planning spending, managing accounts across currencies and budgeting together in a browser. Its zero-based budgeting assigns available money to categories and shows what remains to spend. Accounts can use different currencies while the budget uses a chosen budget currency, and reports include Money Map, spending, wealth and scenario views. Cloud workspaces support up to five people, each with their own sign-in and master password. Account syncing can be manual; optional bank sync is in beta through user-connected SimpleFIN in the US and Canada or Enable Banking in Europe. Budgero says budget data is encrypted on the device before syncing, so the service cannot read its contents. Users can import YNAB data through a connection or import transactions by CSV, and export a full SQLite backup or CSV bundle. The app is open source under AGPL-3.0 and can be self-hosted for free, with hosting, updates and backups managed by the user. Budgero Cloud costs $4 a month, tax included, and includes hosting and automatic updates. A 35-day trial is listed.
