What Benepass is

Benepass is an employee benefits administration and payment platform for employers and sponsoring organizations. Its programs include wellness, food, family and childcare, lifestyle spending, professional development, remote work, and HSA, FSA, HRA, and commuter accounts. Employees can pay with physical or virtual cards and a mobile wallet, or submit reimbursement claims. Preprogrammed rules guide whether transactions are accepted or rejected. Administrators get engagement and spending data in a dashboard, with payroll and HRIS connections for automated enrollment and tax compliance. Listed connections include Workday, UKG, ADP, BambooHR, Rippling, SAP SuccessFactors, Okta, and Microsoft Entra ID; integrations are included without add-on fees. The Trust Portal lists a SOC 2 Type 2 report, HITRUST e1 certification, and CCPA, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance programs, alongside security controls such as encryption and role-based access.
