Amazon Nova Reel
Amazon Nova Reel generates video from English text prompts and optional reference images through Amazon Bedrock.
What Amazon Nova Reel is
Amazon Nova Reel generates video from English text prompts and optional reference images through Amazon Bedrock. It produces 1280×720 video at 24 frames per second in six-second increments, up to two minutes long. Users can create a sequence from one prompt or set prompts and optional images for individual shots; automated multi-shot prompts can contain up to 4,000 characters but cannot include an image. Text prompts can also direct camera motion.
Video jobs run asynchronously and save their results to an Amazon S3 bucket chosen by the customer. Nova Reel 1.1 is listed for US East (N. Virginia), while version 1.0 is listed for N. Virginia, Ireland, and Tokyo. AWS lists the model as legacy with an end-of-life date of September 30, 2026. There is no free plan or free trial, and pricing starts at $0.01. Fine-tuning and provisioned throughput are unavailable. The model does not produce audio or 3D content, and coherent on-screen text is not expected. Its safety filters cannot be changed or disabled, and the generated videos include an invisible watermark; version 1.1 adds C2PA Content Credentials.
