During its debut in India alongside the Redmi A2 in May, the Redmi A2 Plus introduced itself in a sole configuration featuring 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Now, three months down the line, Xiaomi has introduced a new memory option for this device. This fresh variant brings a boost in storage while maintaining the same RAM capacity.
The Redmi A2 Plus is now available with a configuration of 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage in India. This new iteration retains the full spectrum of colors, including Aqua Blue, Classic Black, and Sea Green. This upgraded model is priced at Rs. 8,499 in India. Interestingly, this pricing aligns with the original debut price of the base 4 GB + 64 GB model.
Technical specifications-wise, the Redmi A2 Plus revolves around a 6.52-inch HD+ display featuring a subtle dewdrop notch. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 chipset and operates on Android 13 Go Edition. For photography enthusiasts, the phone incorporates an 8 MP primary camera coupled with a depth sensor, ensuring impressive photography experiences. On the front, a 5 MP camera caters to selfies and video calls.
In terms of features, the device integrates essentials like a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a MicroSD card slot. On the connectivity front, it offers dual SIM functionality, single-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a MicroUSB port. Significantly, the smartphone is equipped with a robust 5,000mAh battery that supports standard 10W charging, guaranteeing prolonged usage without disruption.
This strategic expansion in the Redmi A2 Plus lineup underscores Xiaomi’s commitment to offering diversified choices that cater to varying user needs, all while maintaining competitive pricing.
