Xiaomi has made an announcement that it will continue to sell last year’s Xiaomi 12 Pro in India, even after the release of the new Xiaomi 13 Pro. This move follows a trend similar to Samsung continuing to sell the Galaxy S22 after the release of the Galaxy S23. Xiaomi India has revealed that the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be available at a new reduced price starting March 1st, with the 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB memory configurations costing Rs. 52,999 and Rs. 56,999 respectively. That makes for a drop of Rs. 10,000, which is significant by any means.
In addition to the new price, customers can receive either an instant discount of Rs. 3,000 on HDFC Bank cards or an additional exchange bonus of up to Rs. 5,000. With this revised pricing, the Xiaomi 12 Pro now costs about the same as the Samsung Galaxy S22, which starts at ₹57,999. However, both phones are known for their thermal and battery performance issues due to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset but boast exceptional performance in almost every aspect, including camera performance.
So, those who are not able to afford the latest Xiaomi 13 Pro in the country will still have reasons to cheer considering that the preceding model is now cheaper by a considerable amount.
