Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi recently launched its budget smartphone Redmi 10 in India. And now, the Chinese tech giant is planning to launch one more smartphone under Redmi 10 Series in India. The smartphone will be named Redmi 10 Prime+ 5G. It will be a successor to the Redmi 10 Prime. As you know, Redmi 10 Prime is a 4G smartphone, and its successor Redmi 10 Prime + 5G, will bring 5G connectivity in the budget segment.
The leak comes from renowned tipster Mukul Sharma aka Stufflistings. Mukul took to Twitter to announce, “Redmi will soon launch its Redmi 10 Prime+ 5g in India. He also revealed the charging support in Redmi 10 Prime+ 5G. As per him, the upcoming Redmi smartphone will feature 22.5W fast charging. In comparison to it, the Redmi 10 Prime boasts an 18W charging. Although smartphones in this price range feature charging support higher up to 33W. It is a welcome move from Xiaomi to increase the charging speed to 22.5W on the Redmi 10 Prime’s successor.

Mukul has only confirmed two things; first, the Redmi 10 Prime+ 5G will launch soon and support 22.5W charging. Other than these two details, there is not much known about the upcoming smartphone. As a successor to the Redmi 10 Prime, We can expect a MediaTek Dimensity series 5G chip or a Snapdragon 6 Series chip with 5G support. We might even see a Super AMOLED display for the first time in the Redmi number series. The Redmi 10 Prime 4G has a battery capacity of 6000mAh, and it should remain the same in its successor. As per the expected pricing, the Redmi 10 Prime+ 5G should be priced between the 10-15k INR price bracket.
