After a brief hiatus, Xiaomi is back on the launch spree. The brand is now holding two simultaneous events on March 29 launching a bunch of devices both in China and Globally. At the China event, we would see the brand announce the Mi 11 Pro and the Mi 11 Ultra.
The teaser image that the brand put out shows a large curved screen and in a separate teaser, we can see a smartphone box with the 11 Pro branding. Based on earlier leaks and speculations, the Mi 11 Pro / Ultra will feature a four-sided curved punch-hole 6.8-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate.
Both these phones will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. As for the optics, they will have a triple camera setup on the back that includes Samsung ISOCELL GN2 50-megapixel 1/1.12″ sensor, 48MP ultra-wide and a 48MP periscope telephoto camera with support for up to 120x zoom. We already have seen a Mi 11 Ultra prototype running a while back.
There will be a 20MP camera on the front that we have seen on a number of Xiaomi flagships. One of the notable changes on the Mi 11 Ultra will be the small secondary display integrated on the rear-camera module. The phone is said to pack a 5000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10w wireless reverse charging. There are also some rumors about the possible launch of the Mi Pad 5, Mi Band 6, and a Xiaomi Foldable phone.
As for the Global launch, there apart from the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra, we will see the Mi 11 lite 4G and Mi 11 lite 5G. Xiaomi is still teasing the products that are going to be launched next week and we should hear more about them in the coming days.
