Xiaomi launched a new big screen TV named the Redmi X86. The giant screen TV with a massive 86-inch display offers 4K resolutions. Other tech bits which allow for super clarity include a billion colors and MEMC motion compensation. The smart TV also boasts of a metal frame for enhanced durability even with ultra thin bezels. Xiaomi is claiming a 97 percent screen to body ratio and measures an impressive 1.9 x 1.2 meters.
Ports that the Redmi smart TV X86 comes with include a single USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 ports along with a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports. Plus, there is dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity for superior internet connection. There are a pair of 10W speakers onboard as well that belt out excellent quality audio to match the super visual experience. There is an integrated XiaoAI far-field voice control as well that takes entertainment to the next level. As for its specs, there is the quad-core A55 processor makes up the core of the smart TV. The processor works in tandem with 2 gigs of memory and 16 GB of native storage.
The Redmi X86 is however available only in China at the moment where it is priced at 4,999 yuan, which comes to around $692. However, that happens to be a discounted price which is going to be effective for a limited period, post which it is going to cost 5,299 yuan, which translates to around $733. The smart TV is right now available via JD.com and there is no word yet as to when it is going to be launched internationally.
