Copyright-free music can still require attribution. “Free” describes what you may pay or owe in royalties; it does not automatically remove a creator’s credit requirement or other license conditions. Check the terms attached to the specific track or plan before using it, and include the requested credit wherever the license requires.
What Attribution Means For Your Phone Video
Attribution is a credit naming the music creator or service, placed in a location allowed by its terms. For a Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO video, that may mean adding a credit to the video itself or its description, depending on the license. A credit does not turn personal-use music into commercially licensed music, and it does not replace any other required permission.

The phrase “copyright-free” is not enough to determine what you can do. Soundimage says its assets require proper attribution for legal use and that commercial use is fine. Tunee says free-plan music is for personal projects with attribution, while its site says paid subscribers get full commercial rights. AI Makes Song says free users can test and publish with attribution, and paid plans unlock commercial rights for videos, podcasts, and games. For details not stated here, check each provider’s current terms.
How To Choose And Credit A Track
- Decide where the video will appear and whether it is personal or commercial. Match that use to the track’s stated terms.
- Save the track’s source, its license or plan terms, and the required credit text when you download or generate it. Terms can differ by provider and plan.
- Add the credit in a place the applicable terms allow, such as the video description or an end card. If the provider specifies exact wording or placement, follow it.
- Before exporting on your phone, play the video through once to confirm the music is audible and any on-screen credit is readable. Keep a note of the credit text so it is not lost if you repost the video.

What To Check Before Posting From A Xiaomi, Redmi, Or POCO
Do not assume a service has an Android app or that its music workflow works the same way on every phone. Tunee’s supplied listing mentions web, iOS, and macOS, but does not establish Android availability. Check the provider’s site for current phone compatibility and any file or export requirements. The supplied information does not establish specific genres, track formats, or editing-app compatibility for these options.
If your video includes a recognizable person’s voice, a cover, or samples, get consent where needed and check the music provider’s terms and the platform where you plan to post. The stated attribution terms alone do not establish permission for those elements.

Attribution And Copyright Are Different Questions
Attribution tells viewers who made or supplied the music; it does not by itself determine whether an AI-generated track qualifies for copyright protection. The U.S. Copyright Office says works generated entirely by AI are not copyrightable, prompts alone do not make someone the author, and only human-authored parts of a mixed work may be protected. Applicants registering a work containing more than a minimal amount of AI-generated material must disclose it and describe the human author’s contribution. U.S. Copyright Office AI report and guidance
For a phone creator, the practical rule is simple: keep the credit and the usage permission together. A track may be free to use only with attribution, while commercial use or other rights depend on the specific provider’s terms.
