The highly anticipated release of the Poco F5 is imminent, as rumors and certifications surrounding the smartphone continue to circulate. The brand’s Indian leader has also teased the product, although predictably, without mentioning the name explicitly. Recently, the head hinted at the memory configurations for the upcoming device, which has only added to the excitement for its impending debut.

Poco India’s country head, Himanshu Tandon, recently shared some details about the upcoming smartphone, hinting that it could be the Poco F5. Tandon confirmed that the device will be available in 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB variants, with 256 GB of storage as standard in India. In a recent tweet, Tandon described the device using five words that all start with the letter “F”: fast, finetuned, fearless, fantastic, and futuristic.

The Poco executive’s confirmation of the memory variants are consistent with a leak from the previous week, which also disclosed that the device would be available in black, white, and blue. As the upcoming Poco F5 is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, we already have complete knowledge about its specifications.

The Poco F5 is set to feature an impressive 6.67-inch 12-bit FHD+ 120Hz OLED display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chipset. The device will be equipped with a 64 MP main camera, enhanced with OIS-assisted technology, dual stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It will run on MIUI 14, based on Android 13, and will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast wired charging support. Additionally, the Poco F5 will be released alongside the Poco F5 Pro (rebranded Redmi K60) in some markets, but it is unlikely that the Pro model will be available in India.
