Xiaomi has showcased its latest offerings, the POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro, on the company’s UAE website, a day ahead of their global launch. Though these listings were possibly posted by mistake, they reveal all the features of the inaugural models in the POCO F5 series, as well as their resemblances to existing Xiaomi smartphones.
The POCO F5 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 processor, while the POCO F5 Pro is equipped with the nominally more powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. Both models share a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rates. The display also gets Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. However, the POCO F5 has a 1080p panel, while the POCO F5 Pro boasts a higher resolution 1440p panel.
The devices come with a 64 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2 MP macro shooter. Then there also is the 16 MP front-facing camera as well for selfies and video calls. The 64 MP primary camera has an f/1.79 aperture and a 1/2-inch optical format. The camera also benefits from the optical image stabilization feature as well.
The POCO F5 Pro’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset enables it to capture 8K/24 FPS videos, while the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 in the POCO F5 is limited to 4K/60 FPS. Both devices support 67 W wired charging, and the POCO F5 Pro also offers 30 W wireless charging. The POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro have battery capacities of 5,000 mAh and 5,160 mAh, respectively.
The POCO F5 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, whereas the POCO F5 Pro features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Both models offer 12 GB of RAM and can be configured with up to 256 GB and 512 GB of storage, respectively.
