The Redmi Note 9 makes a different case, the phone is priced a little than the outgoing model but the price range stretches all the way to INR 15,000. For INR 11,999 which the base model comes for, the Redmi Note 9 offers decent value with its full-HD+ display, powerful MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, and 4GB of RAM.
The phone comes packed with Redmi’s signature 5,020mAh battery with support for 18W charging with a 22.5W charger present inside the box. The optics on the phone are not bad either, we get a quad-camera module on the rear with a main 48-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is also a 13-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies.
The price especially on the base model is justified but the top-end model gets into a price category that is already seeing intense competition.
