Redmi 8
The Redmi 8 marks a shift in the brand’s thought process. The phone when compared to the outgoing model has a weaker processor which is not the case with most Redmi phones but gains a bunch of extra features. The phone has got a new refreshed design which complements the Redmi Note 8 series.
There’s a decent 6.22-inch HD+ LCD panel upfront. The Snapdragon 439 SoC does all the heavy lifting here and while it may be slightly underpowered, it will surely push through the daily chores. We have either 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage. The phone packs a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging but sadly the bundled power brick is just 10W.
There is nothing to rave about the optics, overall we felt the camera performance to be average. The phone however feels rounded and something that should on your recommended list.
