Overview

Workleap Pingboard is an org chart and employee directory for organizations that need a shared view of reporting lines and coworkers. It suits HR teams, managers and executives who also need to plan workforce changes; its main trade-off is that the paid plans start at $4,999 USD per year.

Key features

Org charts and employee profiles

Dynamic charts can show reporting structures, departments and cross-functional teams. Paired with a searchable directory and custom profiles, they help colleagues find the right person and understand their role, skills and interests. Custom employee fields add flexibility, though the value depends on the organization keeping employee data useful and current.

Private planning charts

Teams can create private org charts for workforce scenarios and invite others to comment. That makes Pingboard more than a directory: HR and managers can discuss possible structures separately from the current chart. It is a focused planning aid, not a substitute for a broader workforce-planning system.

Employee data and integrations

Employee records can be imported from an Excel file or synchronized through HRIS integrations, including BambooHR, HiBob, Workday, ADP Workforce Now and UKG Pro. Directory sync and CSV import are supported, and Workleap can send notifications through Slack and Teams. These connections can reduce manual upkeep, particularly for organizations already using a supported HR system. API access is included with Pro.

Security and support

Workleap states that it is committed to protecting customer and employee data and provides a security trust center. Tier capabilities include AI and email support, personalized onboarding, a dedicated customer success manager and priority support. Those options may matter to HR teams rolling Pingboard out broadly, though not every tier includes every support capability.

Pricing

Pingboard is freemium, with a free plan and paid plans billed annually. The free option gives organizations a way to start without a subscription, but the stated paid-plan details begin at a substantial annual commitment.

Free: A no-cost starting point.
Standard: Starting at $4,999 USD per year, billed annually. Includes an org chart, people directory and SSO. It is the entry paid tier for organizations that need a maintained directory and single sign-on.
Pro: Starting at $11,999 USD per year, billed annually. Includes everything in Standard plus advanced security, API access and SAML SSO. It fits organizations with stronger security or integration requirements, but costs $7,000 more per year at the stated starting prices.
Enterprise: Custom pricing for organizations with +250 employees; contact Workleap for plan and feature details. This is the route for larger employers, but requires a sales conversation rather than a published price.

Annual billing is the stated term for Standard and Pro. No trial length or renewal terms are given, so the known commitment is the annual billing period.

Platforms

Pingboard is listed for Android, iOS and web, with API access also supported. That spans mobile and browser use, while API access is a paid-tier capability through Pro.

Who it's for

Workleap positions its talent tools for growing businesses with small or generalist HR teams, as well as HR leaders, managers and executives. Pingboard is strongest when those users need both an employee directory and a visual organization chart, with private planning charts for proposed changes. A team looking only for a low-cost charting tool may find the $4,999 USD annual starting price difficult to justify.

Pros and cons

Pros: Combines org charts, employee profiles and private planning charts, so people information and structure planning sit together.
Pros: HRIS connections and spreadsheet imports provide multiple ways to bring employee data in.
Pros: Standard includes SSO, while Pro adds advanced security, API access and SAML SSO for organizations needing those capabilities.
Cons: Standard starts at $4,999 USD per year, a significant commitment for teams that need only basic org charts.
Cons: Pro starts at $11,999 USD per year, so API access and advanced security come with a large increase over Standard.

Verdict

Choose Workleap Pingboard if your organization needs employee profiles and current org charts alongside private workforce planning, and can support the annual starting price. Its combination of HRIS imports, directory features and planning charts is the reason to choose it; look elsewhere if you need only inexpensive chart creation or cannot justify a $4,999 USD annual entry point.
