Overview

Vecteezy is an online marketplace for licensing stock photos, vector graphics, illustrations, editorial assets and footage, with an online editor and API access. It is best for designers and teams that need a steady supply of creative assets, particularly when commercial rights or team administration matter. Pro’s broad library and unlimited downloads are compelling, but the free allowance is small and paid plans use custom pricing.

Key features

The marketplace brings photos, vectors and footage together with illustration, editorial and template assets. Vecteezy adds thousands of professional-quality resources daily, while Pro provides access to more than 60 million images, videos and other assets. That range suits varied content needs; the free tier’s five monthly downloads make it a poor fit for regular production.

Pro subscriptions include unlimited photo, vector and 4K video downloads, full commercial rights and no attribution requirement. All content is royalty free once licensed. Pro content is backed by $10,000 in legal protection, and Pro includes priority support. The 30-day money-back guarantee applies only when fewer than three Pro files have been downloaded, so it offers a limited early safeguard rather than an unrestricted refund.

The online editor keeps asset work within Vecteezy’s web service, and API access can support other workflows. Vecteezy states that it is SOC 2 compliant. Teams can add seats, invite members, assign roles and limit billing access to admins. Teams include priority support and dedicated account management; Enterprise adds API and DAM integrations, Single Sign-On/SAML, and up to $1M in legal protection per incident.

Pricing

Vecteezy uses a freemium model with a free plan and a 7-day trial. The free tier allows five downloads per month, but free resources require attribution and basic features come with ads and limitations. It is suitable for occasional use or exploring the marketplace, not for a workflow that needs frequent downloads or unrestricted commercial use.

Paid options include Image Only with five image downloads and one bundle, Video Only with five video downloads and one bundle, Unlimited All Access with unlimited downloads and one bundle, and credit packs of one, five or ten downloads. Each has custom pricing. Pro subscriptions provide unlimited photo, vector and 4K video downloads, commercial rights, no attribution, priority support and $10,000 legal protection; compare the individual package limits before choosing a tier.

Pro subscriptions can be canceled anytime, and cancellation stops automatic renewal. Teams and Enterprise do not have a free trial, though demos are available. Team and Enterprise pricing is custom, and teams should weigh account management, seat controls and enterprise integrations against the needs of their workflow before committing.

Platforms

Vecteezy is available on the web, with an online editor, and offers API access. This favors browser-based asset sourcing and integration over a platform-specific desktop application.

Who it's for

Vecteezy is a strong fit for independent designers, publishers and creative teams sourcing stock across multiple media types, especially those who need commercial rights and high download volume. Teams that need role assignment and controlled billing can use its seat management; organizations needing SSO, DAM integration or stronger per-incident legal protection should consider Enterprise. Occasional users who can work within five attributed downloads a month may be fine on the free tier. Anyone needing frequent free downloads or a known upfront subscription price should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro spans formats: unlimited photo, vector and 4K video downloads support varied production needs from one subscription.
Clear commercial terms: Pro removes attribution and includes full commercial rights, plus $10,000 legal protection.
Useful team controls: seats, roles and restricted billing access give administrators a way to manage collaborators.
Free use is constrained: five monthly downloads, attribution, ads and feature limitations restrict sustained use.
Pricing takes comparison: paid plans have custom pricing, so buyers cannot readily compare costs from the package names alone.
Team evaluation requires a demo: Teams and Enterprise have no free trial.

Alternatives

For a standalone vector editor rather than a stock-licensing marketplace, consider Inkscape, a free and open-source vector graphics editor for Linux, macOS and Windows. Lunacy is another option for people seeking a freemium design app across Linux, macOS, self-hosted, web and Windows; its free plan allows up to 10 cloud documents and 10 document editors or exporters, with 30 days of version history.

Amadine suits iPad and iPhone users who want a free, fully operational starting point, but exporting, printing and image tracing require purchase. Linearity Curve is an iOS and macOS freemium option whose free plan includes 250 lifetime credits, one basic brand kit and 5GB of cloud storage.

For a web-based alternative, Drawtify has a free vector editor with limited templates and elements, 40 MB image uploads, SD and PDF exports, and folders. Sketchpad offers a free online drawing editor, with a paid premium tier. Readers considering adjacent creative tools can also compare Affinity, Tilda, and the directories for Vector Graphics Software, Stock Vector Libraries, Stock Photo Websites and Graphic Design Software.

Verdict

Choose Vecteezy if you need a broad stock library, frequent downloads and commercial-use rights, or want team controls alongside asset sourcing. Pro’s unlimited downloads and no-attribution terms are the strongest reasons to pay. Look elsewhere if five free downloads a month are not enough, you need transparent upfront pricing, or you want a dedicated vector editor rather than a licensing marketplace.
