Overview

The product spans customer records and deal tracking, a shared support inbox, website chat, and project work, alongside a knowledge base, forum, email, and VoIP. That breadth can reduce the need to stitch together separate tools, especially for a small team handling both customer inquiries and internal follow-up. It also means Sugester is less narrowly focused than a dedicated CRM or helpdesk.

Its CRM combines customer profiles and interaction history with reminders, grouping, reporting, and deal tracking. Support messages from email, phone, and other channels enter a unified inbox, where teams can assign tickets and use canned responses. Website chat adds live visitor viewing, push notifications, and offline messages. Teams can also assign tasks, arrange them in projects and subprojects, and track completion time.

Key features

Customer support: The unified inbox and ticket assignment help teams organize incoming requests across channels; canned responses can speed up recurring replies.
Website chat: A code snippet embeds chat on a site, while visitor viewing and offline messages support both live and unanswered inquiries.
Project coordination: Tasks, projects, subprojects, and completion-time tracking connect support or customer work with follow-through.
Integrations and API: Named integrations include Shopify, WooCommerce, Gmail, Mailgun, Plivo, WordPress, eBay, GitHub, Dropbox, and Mailchimp. API documentation is linked from the integrations page, making the product relevant to teams connecting it with other services.

Pricing

Sugester has a free forever plan and a free 30-day trial that requires no credit card. Paid plans are billed monthly at the prices below. The caps matter: even the $12 plans allow only three or five users, and email sends, contact lists, inboxes, projects, and storage vary substantially by tier.

Plan	Price	Included limits
Free	0.00 USD per free	3 users, 100 monthly email sends, 100 clients/email lists, 2 email boxes, 3 projects, 1 GB storage
Start	12.00 USD per month, billed monthly	3 users, 1,000 monthly email sends, 1,000 clients/email lists, 3 email boxes, 5 projects, 5 GB storage
Pro	12.00 USD per month, billed monthly	5 users, 1,000 monthly email sends per agent, 1,000 clients/email lists, 10 email boxes, 30 projects, 5 GB storage per agent
Max	25.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Unlimited users, 5,000 monthly email sends per agent, 20,000 clients/email lists, 30 email boxes, 5 live chats, 10 GB storage per agent
Enterprise	50.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Unlimited users, 10,000 monthly email sends per agent, 100,000 clients/email lists, unlimited email boxes and live chats, 30 GB storage per agent

Free is a way to start with three users, but its 100 monthly sends and 1 GB storage make it a constrained choice for ongoing customer operations. Start keeps the same three-user ceiling; its main gains are more email capacity, contacts, inboxes, projects, and storage. Pro costs the same monthly price as Start while raising the cap to five users and expanding inboxes and projects, though contact-list capacity remains 1,000. Max is the first listed tier with unlimited users, and suits teams needing larger email and contact quotas plus five live chats. Enterprise raises those quotas again and removes the listed inbox and chat caps; larger deployments can also inquire about self-hosting.

For teams whose required user count, email volume, or storage exceeds a plan's caps, the lower price may not be the practical choice. Sugester also offers custom pricing through inquiry for its self-hosted version.

Platforms

Sugester is available on the web, Android, and iOS, and exposes an API. Its cloud app runs in a browser without installation or setup. Self-hosting is an option by inquiry, but requires a server with at least 8 GB RAM, Ubuntu Server, nginx, and MySQL, so it is better suited to teams prepared to maintain that environment.

Who it's for

Sugester is a sensible fit for small businesses or teams that want customer tracking, multichannel support, chat, and project follow-through in a single product, and can work within plan quotas. Teams needing more than five users should compare the cost of Max with their actual contact, email, and storage needs. Organizations that prefer a hosted service with no server administration can use the browser-based cloud option; those unable to meet the self-hosting requirements should avoid that deployment path.

Pros and cons

Pro: CRM, helpdesk, chat, and project management sit alongside a knowledge base and forum, which is useful for teams coordinating customer-facing work across functions.
Pro: The 30-day trial needs no credit card, and a free forever plan gives small teams a way to begin without a subscription.
Pro: Max and Enterprise remove the user cap, with Enterprise also offering unlimited email boxes and live chats.
Con: Free limits email sends to 100 per month, contacts to 100, and storage to 1 GB, which sharply constrains regular use.
Con: Start and Pro both cost 12.00 USD per month, but still cap teams at three and five users respectively; growing teams must move to a higher tier.
Con: Self-hosting entails specific server and software requirements and is available by inquiry rather than as an immediate no-setup option.

Alternatives

For teams choosing primarily by workflow, these options point in different directions:

Help desk software, CRM Software, and Task Management Software are useful category lists for comparing focused tools with Sugester's combined approach.
Customer Community Software is the relevant list for teams prioritizing community platforms.
Freshdesk is worth considering when a helpdesk-focused alternative is the priority: it has a free plan for 1–2 agents for six months and a free trial.
Discourse is a better fit when an open-source, self-hosted community platform is the goal; its codebase is freely available on GitHub.
Zapnito offers a free Starter platform access plan with unlimited data, email automation, and 24/7 customer support, making it a community-oriented alternative to assess.
Circle is a paid option with Android, iOS, MacOS, web, and Windows platforms, but no free plan; choose it only if that broader platform coverage and its community approach suit your needs.
Zoho Desk has a free plan for three users, so it is an option for teams seeking a free helpdesk alternative within that seat limit.
Apache Answer is a free alternative available on web, Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
UserEcho has a Universal plan at 19.00 USD per month, billed annually, with feedback forums, email ticketing, knowledge bases, live chat, a base API, and webhooks.
Flarum is a free web-based alternative.

Verdict

Choose Sugester if a small team wants customer records, shared support, chat, and project coordination under one roof, and its quotas fit the workload. Its breadth and no-card trial are compelling starting points, but the free tier is restrictive and even the two $12 plans have modest seat caps. Look elsewhere if a focused tool, larger entry-level team allowance, or simpler self-hosting requirements matter more.
