Overview

Temp-Mail.org is a receive-only disposable email service that separates temporary messages from your regular inbox. It is a practical fit for quick sign-ups and developers automating email-flow tests. Its short free retention and warning that public-system messages may be visible to other users rule it out for confidential or important account mail.

Key features

Addresses are available without registration. You can copy one, refresh its inbox, change it, or delete it, but you cannot send email or reply. Free users can receive messages with attachments and download them as EML files; messages remain for up to 1–2 hours, so this suits quick verification better than keeping a message for later.

The API supports automated email workflow testing with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Puppeteer, with documentation linked through RapidAPI. That makes Temp-Mail.org useful in development workflows as well as casual sign-ups. It is not a universal test inbox: government services and major financial institutions cannot send messages to it, and some role addresses, including admin@ and postmaster@, cannot be read.

The privacy policy says IP addresses are not stored and temporary email data is permanently deleted after its lifetime expires. But the terms warn that messages in the public system may be viewable by any user. That caveat outweighs the privacy protections for sensitive correspondence or important accounts. Premium offers private addresses, but the stated warning still makes caution appropriate.

The Android app can generate addresses, receive emails and attachments, and send push notifications for new mail. The service also has iOS, web, extension, and API platforms. Its contact page offers a feedback form, but deleted temporary email domains or messages cannot be recovered.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes free domains, receive-only mail, and storage for up to 1–2 hours. It is enough for brief, non-sensitive tasks, but offers no sending and little time to return to a message.

Temp-Mail Premium monthly costs 10.00 USD per month, billed Monthly and auto-renewing. It includes up to 10 mailboxes, premium domains, one-month message storage, an ad-free experience, and desktop web access only. This is a better fit for users who need more inboxes or longer retention, but it does not extend premium access to the listed mobile or extension platforms.

Temp-Mail Premium yearly costs 60.00 USD per year, billed Yearly and auto-renewing, with a 50% discount. It includes the same stated limits and features as monthly Premium. The annual term suits regular users willing to commit for a year; occasional users may prefer the free plan, accepting its short message lifetime.

Platforms

Temp-Mail.org is available on Android, iOS, web, browser extension, and API. Premium is limited to desktop web, so mobile and extension users should weigh that restriction before paying.

Who it's for

Choose Temp-Mail.org for disposable addresses used in quick, non-sensitive sign-ups or for automated email testing where its API integrations fit the workflow. Look elsewhere for outgoing mail, reliable delivery from government or major financial services, longer free retention, or confidential messages.

Pros and cons

Pros: No registration is required, and inbox controls make it straightforward to replace or delete an address.
Pros: The API supports named browser-testing tools, giving developers a use beyond one-off sign-ups.
Pros: Free attachment receipt and EML downloads preserve a message for local use.
Cons: Free messages last only up to 1–2 hours, limiting retrieval time.
Cons: The service is receive-only, and stated sender restrictions exclude some important services and role addresses.
Cons: Public-system messages may be visible to other users, so the service is unsuitable for confidential or important account mail.
Cons: Premium works on desktop web only, despite the broader platform lineup.
