Overview

SongUp AI pairs song generation with a set of practical production and publishing tools. Songs can be made in 24 languages, and users can upload audio, generate vocals, and export separated stems. That breadth makes it more than a prompt-to-song service, but the distinction between free and paid use matters: free songs are for personal, non-commercial use with attribution, while paid plans include full commercial ownership of generated media.

Key features

Song generation: Free accounts receive three instant songs matched from the SongUp AI library, while paid subscriptions raise monthly song allowances. The free allowance is useful for a first look, but it is not a continuing open-ended music workspace.
Audio tools: Users can upload audio, generate vocals, and separate songs into vocals, drums, bass, and other instruments. The exported stems can be used in Ableton, Logic, or FL Studio, giving producers a way to continue editing in a DAW rather than treating the generated track as a finished file.
Exports: Pro includes 320kbps MP3 exports; Pro Plus adds lossless WAV. That makes Pro suitable for MP3 delivery, while creators who need lossless files should consider Pro Plus.
Speech and media: Advanced AI Speech provides text-to-speech in 29 languages. Pro also includes 4K AI images and AI videos, and Pro Plus adds extended video generation. These tools broaden the package for creators making supporting media, though image and video features are tied to paid plans.
Sharing: Users can publish work to a community feed or share playable preview links that do not require an account. This helps with circulation and feedback without requiring recipients to sign up.

Pricing

SongUp AI offers a free tier and monthly paid plans. A separate pricing note says paid access starts at $7.99/mo (annual), while the listed plan prices below are monthly; billing options also include six-month and yearly terms.

Plan	Price	Allowance and key terms
Free	0.00 USD per free	Free forever; three free instant songs; personal use only; 1,000,000 one-time credits, described as about 16 instant songs.
Pro	9.99 USD per month	21 songs per month; 1.2M credits, described as about 40 songs per month; cancel anytime; 320kbps MP3 exports and paid-plan commercial ownership.
Pro Plus	19.99 USD per month	45 songs per month; 2.5M credits, described as about 83 songs per month; cancel anytime; lossless WAV exports and extended video generation.
Elite	49.99 USD per month	118 songs per month; 6.5M credits, described as about 216 songs per month; cancel anytime.
Ultra	99.99 USD per month	236 songs per month; 13M credits, described as about 433 songs per month; cancel anytime.

The free plan is the sensible starting point for personal experimentation, but its three-song allowance and non-commercial rights rule it out for business use. Pro is the entry paid choice for regular creation and MP3 delivery. Pro Plus is the clearest fit when lossless WAV or longer video generation matters. Elite and Ultra scale the monthly song and credit allowances substantially for heavier production, though the supplied plan details do not distinguish their features beyond capacity. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time without a lock-in contract, and no credit card is required for the free tier.

Platforms

SongUp AI is available on the web. Free users receive community support; the service also lists email support and a Help Center.

Who it's for

SongUp AI fits creators who want to generate songs, separate stems for DAW work, and handle speech or supporting visuals within one web service. It is especially compelling for users who need commercial rights or lossless output and can justify a paid plan. It is less suited to people who only need a small number of personal-use tracks, or who require an app outside the web.

Pros and cons

Pros

Useful production range: Audio uploads, vocal generation, stem separation, and DAW-ready stems serve workflows beyond simple song generation.
Clear paid-use path: Paid plans include full commercial ownership, addressing a key need for creators publishing or monetizing generated media.
Choice of output quality: Pro supplies high-bitrate MP3, while Pro Plus adds lossless WAV.
Broader media toolkit: Paid access adds 4K images and AI video, with extended video generation on Pro Plus.

Cons

Free use is narrow: Three instant songs and personal-use-only rights make the free tier a preview, not a commercial workflow.
Several useful features require paid access: Commercial ownership, MP3 exports, image and video tools, and lossless WAV are tied to paid plans.
Web only: Users who want a dedicated Android or iOS app will need another option.
Top plans are primarily capacity upgrades: Elite and Ultra raise quotas, but their listed features do not establish additional capabilities over lower paid tiers.

Alternatives

Choose Suno if native Android or iOS access is more important than SongUp AI's web-only availability. Consider Eleven Music for a web-based option whose free tier includes 10,000 monthly credits and personal-use-only terms. Udio is another web choice, with an iOS app and a free allowance of 10 daily credits and up to three 130-second songs per day. Try MusicWave.ai if a free, no-card signup with two song generations is the priority. Treblo is worth considering for users comparing music tools with a free tier and web, iOS, and Android support. Wubble is another web-based option to compare for its free three-download allowance. Melody Genie offers a free tier with 14 shared monthly credits and three full AI songs, plus Android access. Mubert is a web, iOS, and Android alternative whose free Ambassador plan includes 25 tracks and five downloads per month.

Browse AI Music Generators for more song-making options, or AI Music Mastering Software if mastering is the priority.

Verdict

SongUp AI is a strong fit for web-based creators who want song generation alongside stem editing, speech, and paid image and video tools. Its main advantage is the combination of a production-oriented audio workflow and commercial ownership on paid plans; its main drawback is that the free tier is limited and non-commercial, while lossless WAV requires Pro Plus. Choose it for that all-in-one mix, but look elsewhere if you need a mobile app or only want a generous free music-making workflow.
