Overview

Seismic is a sales enablement platform for organizations whose customer-facing teams need content, training, coaching, and engagement workflows in one place. It is best suited to larger go-to-market groups that can make use of its integrations, package choices, and custom options.

Its breadth is a strength, but custom pricing and multiple license types mean buyers should clarify scope and access needs before choosing a package.

Key features

Seismic brings together enablement planning and execution, buyer and customer engagement, and coaching and development. Sales playbooks, content guidance, coaching and feedback, and AI role-play practice support preparation before buyer conversations; engagement analytics adds a way to assess activity. This range makes the platform relevant beyond sales alone, though it also means a buyer should establish which workflows matter most rather than treating every capability as essential.

AI-powered insights and streamlined workflows are intended to help representatives stay ready and keep go-to-market teams aligned. The platform offers more than 150 integrations, including Salesforce, Microsoft, Adobe, Google, Oracle, Zoom, Gong, Snowflake, Slack, and Webex. Open APIs let developers build and publish apps and custom integrations, which can help organizations connect bespoke systems; those options are most useful when a team has integration needs and the resources to address them.

Seismic defines Standard, Partner, and Viewer licenses across its packages. Viewer access is read-only, so organizations should account for that distinction when deciding who needs to edit or contribute. Security measures include AES 256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.2 or higher in transit. The Trust Center lists SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022, ISO/IEC 27701:2019, and ISO/IEC 42001:2023 among its compliance items.

Pricing

Seismic is paid software with custom pricing; there is no free plan. Enablement Cloud is offered in Essential, Advanced, and Ultimate packages, and some capabilities are add-ons. The package names provide a tiered choice, but buyers need a sales conversation to establish price, which capabilities are included, and whether add-ons or different license types affect the final scope.

There is no published seat count, quota, trial length, or renewal term to compare. For teams evaluating the cost, clarify the number and type of licenses required, especially if some users need only read access, alongside the capabilities included in each package.

Platforms

Seismic supports Android, iOS, web, and API access. Its mobile app provides access to sales content, training, and communications online and offline, useful for teams working away from a desk or without a reliable connection.

Who it's for

Seismic is aimed at sales, marketing, enablement, revenue leadership, and other customer-facing teams. It is a strong fit when an organization wants to coordinate content, learning, coaching, and buyer engagement across those groups, particularly when integrations and custom connections matter. A team seeking only a lightweight content library or a transparent, self-serve price may be better served by a narrower option.

Seismic says it serves 2,000 customers worldwide, has more than 1 million users, and is used in more than 100 countries. Founded in 2010, the company is headquartered in San Diego, California.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad enablement scope: Content, training, playbooks, coaching, role-play, guidance, and engagement analytics can support connected preparation and follow-up workflows.
Extensive integration options: More than 150 integrations and open APIs suit organizations that need to connect enablement with existing systems or build custom integrations.
Offline mobile access: Teams can reach content, training, and communications through the mobile app even without connectivity.
Documented security and compliance: Encryption standards and several named compliance items may help buyers assess enterprise requirements.

Cons

Custom pricing: Buyers cannot compare package costs without contacting Seismic.
Package and license decisions require care: Three packages, add-ons, and distinct license types make it important to confirm what each group can access and do.
No free plan: Teams looking for a free, ongoing way to evaluate or use the platform will need another option.

Verdict

Choose Seismic if your organization needs a connected enablement platform for content, training, coaching, and customer engagement, and can justify evaluating custom-priced packages and integrations. Its breadth and extensibility are the main reasons to choose it; look elsewhere if you need upfront pricing, a free plan, or a focused, smaller-scale content tool.
