Overview

Yesware brings email engagement tracking, personalized templates, automated multi-touch campaigns, and reporting into Gmail and Outlook workflows. Sellers can use open, link-click, and attachment-download notifications to inform follow-up timing; teams can review recipient engagement and campaign performance. Reply detection, multichannel outreach, and advanced personalization extend the sales workflow beyond basic tracking.

Integrations include Salesforce, LinkedIn, Zoom, Vendasta, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, as well as Gmail and Outlook. Salesforce email and activity syncing is limited to Enterprise, so Salesforce-dependent teams should weigh that tier against their CRM needs.

Key features

Tracking and outreach

Free covers basic email-open and attachment tracking, while Pro makes open, link, and attachment tracking unlimited. That upgrade matters to sellers who need link engagement or send enough messages to outgrow basic tracking. Templates and multi-touch campaign automation help keep repeated outreach consistent while supporting personalized messages.

Recipient caps are the main constraint on early plans: Free allows 10 campaign recipients per month and Pro allows 20. Those limits suit modest prospecting or evaluation better than a regular high-volume cadence. Premium removes campaign limits and adds shared templates and campaigns, unlimited teams, and team reporting.

Reporting and team controls

Free does not include the personal activity and recipient engagement reports provided by Pro. Premium adds team reporting and centralized billing, which makes it more relevant to sales managers coordinating shared outreach than to a solo seller. Enterprise adds Salesforce email, calendar, and activity sync, a Salesforce inbox sidebar, list-view imports to campaigns, Salesforce single sign-on, and trusted IP ranges.

Privacy and support

Yesware says it stores email metadata rather than permanent message-body copies. For some CRM features, message bodies are temporarily encrypted and deleted after transfer. It maintains a current SOC 2 Type II report, which account managers provide on request under NDA. Support also scales by tier: email support on Free, email and phone support on Pro, and on-demand customer success on Premium.

Pricing

Yesware has a free plan, a 14-day trial, and four monthly plan prices. The separate starting-price note says paid plans start at $15/user/mo (annual), while the plan prices below are stated as billed monthly; compare the billing terms before budgeting for seats.

Plan	Price	What it includes	Best fit
Free	0.00 USD per free	Basic open and attachment tracking, 10 campaign recipients/month, Meeting Scheduler, weekly webinar trainings, and email support.	Individual sellers assessing basic tracking or running very small campaigns. It gives up link tracking, reporting, and meaningful campaign capacity.
Pro	19.00 USD per month	Unlimited open, link, and attachment tracking; 20 campaign recipients/month; personal activity and recipient engagement reports; email and phone support.	Sellers who need complete tracking and personal reports, but its 20-recipient campaign ceiling remains restrictive for ongoing outreach.
Premium	45.00 USD per month	Everything in Pro, unlimited campaigns and teams, shared templates and campaigns, team reporting, centralized billing, and on-demand customer success.	Teams that need to coordinate campaigns and review team performance. It is the first listed tier without a campaign-recipient cap.
Enterprise	85.00 USD per month	Everything in Premium, Salesforce email, calendar, and activity sync, Salesforce inbox sidebar, list-view imports to campaigns, Salesforce single sign-on, and trusted IP ranges.	Salesforce-centered organizations that need the additional sync and access controls.

The stated plan prices are per month, while the starting-price note uses an annual term and per-user wording. Teams should confirm the seat count and applicable billing term when comparing costs.

Platforms

Yesware is offered as an extension, macOS, web, and Windows product, but it does not have a mobile app. It supports Gmail and Outlook, yet aliases and Send As addresses do not work; Outlook requires an address hosted directly on Microsoft 365. These restrictions can disqualify otherwise compatible email setups.

Who it's for

Yesware is aimed at individual sellers, founders, SMBs, and larger sales teams that use email to drive revenue. Free or Pro can suit an individual with a light campaign load; Premium is the more practical choice for teams sharing outreach and reporting. Enterprise is the clearest fit when Salesforce sync and related controls are essential. It is less suitable for mobile-first sellers, users of unsupported address configurations, or teams whose outreach volume exceeds the lower-tier quotas but cannot justify Premium.

Pros and cons

Pros: Real-time open, click, and attachment notifications give sellers concrete engagement signals for follow-up.
Pros: Templates, multi-touch campaigns, reply detection, and advanced personalization support structured prospect outreach.
Pros: Premium adds shared campaigns and templates, team reporting, and centralized billing for coordinated sales work.
Cons: Free and Pro cap campaigns at 10 and 20 recipients per month respectively, limiting their usefulness for sustained outreach.
Cons: Salesforce email and activity syncing starts at Enterprise, a substantial step up for teams that need that CRM workflow.
Cons: No mobile app, plus restrictions on aliases, Send As, and Outlook hosting, narrow the range of workable setups.

Alternatives

For a lower-cost way to track some email and run limited sequences, Mixmax has a free tier with 20 tracked emails per month and up to 50 sequence recipients; its listed Inbox Copilot plan is 29.00 USD per month. Choose it when those stated free-tier allowances better match your volume than Yesware’s campaign caps.

Regie.ai offers a free plan with 250 one-time credits per person that never expire, shared by up to 10 people, for research, enrichment, drafting, and agents through Gmail or Outlook. It is worth considering when that credit-based workflow better suits the task.

Growbots has a free tier with 20 email accounts, three sequences, and up to 20 emails per inbox per day, plus partial access to a 180M+ prospects database. Consider it when account and daily sending allowances matter more than Yesware’s engagement reporting.

Mystrika is another freemium option for readers comparing email outreach tools.

Outplay offers a Free Forever plan for one user, two mailboxes, and 2,000 active prospects per month. It may suit a solo user prioritizing those prospect and mailbox allowances.

Salesloft is a paid alternative with web, mobile, API, and extension platforms; consider it if those platform options better match your requirements.

Snov.io offers a trial plan with 50 credits, 100 recipients, and one email warm-up slot. It is an alternative for readers comparing a credit-based trial.

Woodpecker is a paid alternative for readers comparing email outreach products.

Verdict

Yesware is a sound choice for Gmail or Outlook sellers who want tracking, personalized follow-up, and campaign reporting in one sales workflow. Premium is the practical tier for teams that need uncapped campaigns and shared reporting, while Salesforce-heavy organizations should budget for Enterprise. Look elsewhere if mobile access, alias support, or larger campaign quotas on a lower tier are priorities.
