Overview

VectorStock advertises more than 50 million premium vectors and over 1 million free vectors. That breadth gives individual creatives and teams a substantial pool to draw from, while natural-language AI search offers a way to find work by describing its subject, style, or composition. The platform is web-based, and its maker, based in Auckland, New Zealand, has operated since 2007.

Available formats include Adobe Illustrator AI, EPS, PDF, and SVG. VectorStock also offers a customization service for adjustments such as colors, text, and layout; that can help when an asset is close to the brief but needs modest changes. The Free License is for evaluation and personal use, not commercial projects.

Key features

Commercial licensing and limits

The Pro License permits worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual commercial use across client work, digital and print projects, merchandise, and print-on-demand, with unlimited impressions and print runs. Images licensed during an active subscription remain usable under that license after the subscription ends. This continuity is useful for projects that stay in circulation beyond a plan’s term.

Subscriptions are subject to a Fair Use Policy limit of 50 vector-image downloads per subscriber per day, despite the unlimited-download marketing. That is a generous daily allowance for many individual workflows, but it can constrain high-volume production. Content acquired through Pay-per-Image, Credits, or Subscription cannot be used to train, develop, or improve AI or machine-learning models without a separate written agreement.

Pricing

The Free License costs 0.00 USD per free and allows royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual use for evaluation and personal purposes. It is suitable for personal exploration, but not for commercial client or business work.

Pay-per-Image is shown at 14.99 USD per month, billed as a one-time payment for each vector, with a Pro License and no ongoing commitment. The per-image approach suits occasional needs better than recurring access, though the displayed monthly amount is not a subscription commitment. Credits are shown at 1.00 USD per month, with a USD $30 minimum purchase of 30 credits; this minimum makes it a less natural fit for someone who needs only one asset.

The Annual Subscription costs 9.99 USD per month, billed as a single upfront payment of USD $119.88. The Monthly Subscription costs 14.99 USD per month, billed monthly. Both include the Pro License and downloads subject to the 50-vector daily cap. Annual billing lowers the effective monthly price for users ready to pay upfront; monthly billing costs more per month but avoids the year’s upfront charge. Both plans include 1 team seat, so larger teams should account for that constraint.

An Exclusive Buyout costs 399.00 USD per once, payable after artist approval. It provides full ownership and removes the artwork from sale, making it a distinct option for buyers who need exclusivity rather than a standard licensed download.

Platforms

VectorStock is available on the web. Checkout and payment processing are handled by Paddle, which processes payments in PCI-DSS-compliant systems; VectorStock says it does not store full card details. Account connections use TLS and passwords use salted one-way hashing. Support aims to answer queries within 24 business hours, with office hours Monday through Friday, 8AM–6PM GMT+12.

Who it's for

VectorStock is a strong fit for designers, agencies, businesses, content creators, and other creative professionals who need a broad vector library and commercial rights. The perpetual Pro License and range of project uses suit work that may remain in circulation after a subscription ends. It is less suitable for commercial users who need more than 50 downloads a day or more than one included seat, and the free license will not cover their commercial work.

Pros and cons

Broad catalog: More than 50 million premium and 1 million free vectors provide a large pool for varied creative briefs.
Wide Pro License scope: Worldwide, perpetual commercial rights cover client, digital, print, merchandise, and print-on-demand work.
Useful discovery and formats: Natural-language AI search and AI, EPS, PDF, and SVG formats support different ways of finding and using artwork.
Daily subscription cap: The 50-download limit can interrupt high-volume workflows despite the unlimited-download label.
Narrow free license: Free assets are restricted to evaluation and personal use, so commercial projects need a paid option.
One seat: The included team seat makes subscriptions a less direct fit for teams needing shared access.

Alternatives

Vecteezy is worth considering for users who want a freemium vector service with both web and API platforms; its listed plans distinguish image-only, all-access, and video downloads.

GetIllustrations may suit developers looking for API access: its free API plan includes 1,500 calls per month, free assets, and premium assets as watermarked previews.

Ouch! by Icons8 is an option for readers seeking illustrations across a wider range of platforms, including desktop and mobile systems; its free illustrations require attribution.

DrawKit may appeal to users who prioritize free content, since its Basic plan offers unlimited free content without requiring an account.

Storyset is a free alternative whose license permits personal and commercial projects with attribution and modifications.

Clker is another free, web-based option.

Blush may be preferable when free illustration access and unlimited downloads are the priority; its free plan includes thousands of illustrations.

Public Domain Vectors is a free, web-based alternative.

Verdict

Choose VectorStock if you need a large vector catalog and a commercial license that remains valid for downloaded images after a subscription ends. The formats, search, and broad Pro License make it a practical choice for recurring creative work. Look elsewhere if your production requires more than 50 downloads per day, your team needs multiple seats, or you need free commercial-use rights.
