Overview

SalePlay is an AI sales-training platform built around voice conversations with simulated buyers. It suits teams that want reps to practise handling objections and track skills such as discovery and closing. Its strongest case is focused, measurable roleplay; the five-minute free-use cap makes the free tier a brief preview, not a training program.

Key features

Reps speak with AI buyers that can interrupt, object and push back, making practice more demanding than a scripted exchange. Teams can tailor buyer personas by industry, company size, role, personality and objections, which helps align practice with their sales situations.

An AI coach can offer real-time text tips at beginner, intermediate or advanced levels. Assessment mode removes that guidance, giving managers a way to measure a rep's skills without coaching during the exercise. SalePlay tracks talk-to-listen ratio, objection handling, question quality, discovery depth and closing effectiveness, alongside micro drills, baseline and follow-up assessments, analytics and multi-level training journeys.

This blend of coaching and measurement is useful for structured sales development. Teams seeking a broader platform for other functions may also consider it: SalePlay identifies product, marketing and support teams as potential users, though its roleplay and assessment features are framed around sales.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 INR per free and includes five minutes of free use, 20 personalized prospects, multi-level follow-ups, a mock CRM and advanced analytics on every call. Those extras make the short allowance useful for trying several elements of the product, but five minutes is too little for sustained practice.

The Pilot Program is custom pricing, billed as a 30-day structured pilot. It includes training on product documents, AI-diagnosed skill gaps and targeted drills, measurable ROI before scaling, and dedicated onboarding support. It is the more suitable route for a team that wants a defined evaluation period and guided setup before making a broader commitment.

Enterprise is also custom pricing and requires contacting sales. It includes unlimited seats, a custom knowledge base built from company documents, adaptive training paths for each rep, SSO and advanced security, and a dedicated success manager. The plan is aimed at organizations that need team-wide deployment and tailored training; its price must be weighed through a sales conversation.

Platforms

SalePlay runs on the web.

Who it's for

SalePlay is best suited to sales leaders who want repeatable voice practice, adjustable coaching and skill-level analytics in one training flow. The Pilot Program fits teams validating the approach with guided onboarding; Enterprise fits organizations that need unlimited seats, document-based training and adaptive paths. It is a weaker fit for individuals seeking lengthy free practice or teams that require a mobile app.

Pros and cons

Pros: AI buyers can interrupt and push back, giving reps practice responding to objections rather than simply delivering a pitch.
Pros: Coaching and unguided assessment modes serve different stages of training, while analytics cover listening, discovery and closing as well as objection handling.
Pros: Enterprise includes unlimited seats, SSO and adaptive training paths, useful for organizations with broader rollout needs.
Cons: The free plan is capped at five minutes, limiting its value for regular practice.
Cons: Pilot and Enterprise use custom pricing, so teams cannot compare their costs without contacting sales.
Cons: Web is the only supported platform, ruling it out for teams that need native mobile access.
Cons: SalePlay collects recordings, transcripts and interaction data. Its privacy policy says personal data is not sold and describes technical and organizational security measures, with Azure, AWS and Google Cloud named for hosting and AI processing; teams should still assess whether that data handling fits their requirements.

Alternatives

Choose UMU if mobile access matters or video-based training is the priority: it supports Android, iOS and web, has a free Basic plan with feature limits and generally disallows video and file uploads, and its Professional plan costs 8325.00 JPY per year with unlimited video uploads, classes, learner data, meeting systems and HD video. Choose Hyperbound if a free roleplay library is more important than SalePlay's tailored practice: its free plan includes 45 prebuilt AI roleplays and example scorecards, and it also offers a custom-priced per-user Practice Enterprise plan.

Mindtickle is another paid alternative, with a Readiness plan covering training, virtual roleplays, coaching and analytics but no two-way AI roleplay. Allego is a paid alternative with custom per-user pricing billed annually upfront and contracts typically lasting three years, with two- and one-year options. Showell is a paid alternative with a Professional Plan at 700.00 EUR per month per workspace, including users. Showpad is a paid alternative whose Advanced plan includes AI roleplay, certifications, sales engagement integrations and API/SDK. Seismic is a paid alternative. Spekit is another alternative.

Verdict

SalePlay is a strong fit for sales teams that want realistic voice roleplay paired with adjustable coaching and specific skill metrics. Its guided pilot offers a practical path to evaluate training with support, while the five-minute free tier is too limited to stand in for it. Look elsewhere if you need mobile access, or if you want transparent pricing before speaking with sales.
